Memory Lane - Hunter's Birthday

Happy Happy Birthday Hunter!

Happy Birthday Hunter! I remember back at his birth . . . It was Memorial Weekend and I had to go to the hospital and have my contractions stopped. I was there 2-3 days on magnesium. He wasn't due until July 4th. They sent me home with a pill I had to take every 4 hours so that I wouldn't go into labor. I took my last pill on June 11th. That Mon. I went to Target with Brooke and got some things we needed "nesting" and on the way home I was feeling contractions. We got up to the hospital, broke my water and delivered him within 2 hours after arriving. He could not wait to get into this world. He is a joy to have in our family. I can't believe that he is 9. Time goes by so fast.

Garden Update

Okay, I have been checking our garden every couple of days. Wow, these veggies are growing fast. The first thing I picked was a green pepper. It was yummy in dinner the other night. I went back today and had all these to pick. 2 of the zuchinni are 9 inches long. Can't wait to eat them.

Who needs snow to go sledding!

Over by Huddleston Pond there is a hill that the kids have found. They have taken boxes and go sledding down the hill. We have been there everynight since. They have a blast. Even Kate loves to go down.

Garden Plot

Here is our garden plot. We planted mainly by seeds. We did plant tomato plants and pepper plants. They tend to grow better by having a plant. We have carrots, peas, beans, watermelon, cantaloupe, peppers, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and spaghetti squash. I also am planting a few things at home in containers. They all are starting to sprout. We hope we get to eat from these this summer.

Mink Gobbles

I had to post this of Kate. She loves to swim and had to have "mink gobbles" for her eyes. This is while we were at Pigeon Forge. She is a crack-up
